A great turnout for this year’s YMCA Healthy Kids Day event! Parker distributed over 600 pairs of new sneakers donated by Parker supporters and by Bank of America employees from throughout the state. This is the second year in a row that Bank of America has helped Parker and the YMCA make Healthy Kids Day such a successful event! Special thanks to Parker Board member Evangelia Papamarkou for coordinating the Bank of America sneaker drive!
Over 20 organizations were on hand with Parker and the YMCA to distribute event goodies and resource information. In addition to selecting new sneakers, kids enjoyed a Bouncy House, assorted games, and tasty snacks from JBJ Soul Kitchen. Free COVID-19 vaccinations and other health checks were also available for eventgoers.
