For more than a quarter century, Parker Family Health Center has given free, dignified medical and dental care to uninsured working families in Red Bank, powered entirely by volunteers and donors.
A quarter century ago, a family doctor opened his doors to those who had nowhere else to turn. Today, hundreds of volunteers carry that promise forward. Doctors, dentists, nurses and neighbors give their time freely.
No one is turned away for lack of means. That is the whole idea, and it always has been.
“When we opened our doors, we made a simple promise: that anyone who needed care would receive it, regardless of their ability to pay. Twenty-six years later, that promise still guides everything we do.”
“What makes Parker work is not a building or a budget. It is people. Neighbors who give their evenings, their expertise, and their hearts so that no one in our community goes without care.”
A volunteer family doctor founds Parker to care for uninsured neighbors in Red Bank, free of charge.
Dozens of volunteer physicians, dentists and interpreters join, expanding care into specialty services.
Care in English and Spanish becomes core to Parker's welcome, side by side at every visit.
In partnership with Brookdale, Parker opens a free dental clinic and keeps growing, neighbor by neighbor.
A volunteer board, dedicated staff, and hundreds of clinical and community volunteers.
